As there has been no news from DeepShadows since December 2008 at their English language site (here), our main purpose is posting news of private translation into English of White Gold, and hopefully one day, Precursors.
Although the site has become "slow", there has been a large number of posts from spammers with commercial or malicious content. There are also increasing numbers of nonsensical posts. You can post in English only on this forum. To avoid confusion, we retain the right to DELETE all the messages in other languages without warning. Due to the quantity of these I will be deleting posts and banning spammers without email notification. If you consider you have been banned unfairly, please contact me by PM. Complaints made via posts will be considered as spam. Also, the MODS will also be deleting old and some inactive posts in December. Cheers everyone! Val.

This site is becoming unsustainable.
As I seem to be the only active moderator, I am spending up to an hour a day dealing with spammers. The only reason I am persevering is for the guys working on English translations of Precursors and White Gold. A couple of recent examples: Today, 31 identical spam posts, all in Russian, from someone called menuprojects. On 12JAN2010 there were 70 new members, all of them spammers. So the day is coming when this site is overwhelmed with these pests and will become untenable. In case the worst happens, I'd advise all genuine members to make plans to keep in touch. Other sites are Born to be Freeform and possibly SpaceSimCentral. If you want to keep in touch directly with members here, I'd advise you to PM them for their email address so we don't lose touch with each other. All power to the guys working on translations!! |

Members have been receiving warnings from Lady_Admin that they are infected with viruses.
Just a warning: No one online can know if you have a virus without scanning your computer. 100% of these messages result in your system being infected if you click on a link. So a reminder, DO NOT click on any links on this site unless you are sure they are safe. Right clicking them will give you the properties of the link if you want to check if it is legitimate. And obviously, Lady_Admin is not a moderator on this site. |
